5 LOW CALORIE DESSERT IDEAS

Finding enjoyment in the foods we eat is key to staying on track and if you love having a sweet treat then this blog is for you! We have put together 5 low calorie desserts that quench the sweet craving pangs without being detrimental to your health and fitness goals.

#1 Carrot Cake Bites

Easy to prep, zero cooking time and simply delicious!

Serves 1: 10g uncooked oats | 5g dessicated coconut | 5g pumpkin seed butter | 8g cashew nuts (optional) | 35g Carrot | 7g figs

Directions: Add all ingredients (except the coconut) to a food processor and pulse together until it combines. Add a little drops of water if mixture is dry. Once the mixture has come together, roll into individual balls and cover with the dessicated coconut.

#2 Dark Chocolate Souffle

Two ingredients, easy to prep and quick cooking time.

Serves 1: 2 eggs | 20g 70% Dark Chocolate | water | Light spray cooking oil

Directions: Seperate the egg yolk from the whites and whisk. Whisk the egg whites until you get stiff peaks. Melt the chocolate and mix with egg yolk, be careful not to cook the egg. Fold the mixture into the egg whites carefully and in stages. Pour mixture into a ramekin, and cook in the oven at 190 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until the mixture has risen.

#3 Frozen Berry Yogurt

Prep ahead of time, easy to make and easy to track macros.

Serves 1: 150g 0% fat greek yogurt | 1 teaspoon of honey | 84g frozen berries

Directions: Blend all ingredients together and then freeze.

#4 Warm Baked Apple

Let the oven do all the hard work. Super easy, low prep time and ready in 20 minutes.

Serves 1: 1 apple | 1 teaspoon of cinnamon | 1/2 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup

Directions: Cut the apple in half and remove the core. Sprinkle over the cinnamon and drizzle with honey/syrup. Bake in the oven at 190 degrees.

#5 Quinoa Pudding

3 ingredients, easy to make and low in fat.

Serves 1: 1/2 a cup of quinoa cooked | 10g 70% dark chocolate melted | 5g Dessicated coconut | 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions: Combine all the ingredients for a delicious low calorie, low fat dessert. Optional extras: top with banana and/or berries.
