Coronavirus Information, Our Commitment To You
We have taken all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our members, staff and visitors. We are committed to minimising the spread of Covid-19 and will continue to follow Government and Public Health England advice. High standards of hygiene and cleanliness is at the forefront of our coronavirus policy and procedures as set out below.

Policies and Procedures

Health and Safety Policy Update

We have updated our gyms health and safety policy and included an extensive Covid-19 policy which has been developed in line with Government, Public Health England and UK Active advice. Our policy details steps required to minimise the spread of Covid-19, including: personal hygiene, facility cleanliness, social distancing in work spaces for staff and workout spaces for members, personal protective equipment, protocol for trace and track if anyone in our community develops Covid-19 symptoms. If you would like to view our health and safety protocol, please ask us at reception.

Risk Assessment

We have undertaken a detailed risk assessment of the facilities to safeguard staff, members and visitors. Regular risk assessments will take place; you will see our staff around the gym testing equipment, replenishing cleaning stock and maintaining the facilities. All we ask is that you use the equipment safely and in the correct manner, use the appropriate amount of cleaning product needed so not to waste the products and report any issues to our staff as soon as they arise.

Club Rules

We have updated our club rules – please click here.

Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)

We have updated our PAR-Q to include the Covid-19 symptom checker. This new questionnaire will be made available to all staff, members and visitors returning to the gym so we can keep your information up to date and to ensure you are healthy before undertaking exercise at our gyms.

What We Have Put In Place To Minimise The Spread of Covid-19

Staff training and awareness

All of our staff have been trained in our updated policies and procedures especially with maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene. You will see our staff around the gym cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.

Our gyms have been deep cleaned from top to bottom during the closure and you will see our professional cleaning team twice a day undertaking deeper cleans for numerous hours throughout the day. Our staff will also be maintaining the cleaning standards and we ask our members to also do their bit by cleaning their equipment before and after use. We have planned chemical deep cleans of the gyms twice a month.

You will see cleaning stations scattered around the gym. Each station will house hand sanitiser gel, disinfectant spray and tissues. Please feel free to use these during your workout, please return all products back to the station after use and report any issues to our friendly staff. You my wish to bring in your own antibacterial wipes if preferred.

Where possible we will keep doors, windows, shutters open to allow for the flow of fresh air through the facilities. Fans will also be positioned around the gym floor near open windows and doors to encourage the flow of fresh air. Additionally, we have serviced all of our air conditioning units which include a filtration system to ensure the better air quality for our members. We will be checking and changing these filters regularly. We have also planed for numerous vents to be installed at our gyms in the coming weeks.

Maximum Capacity

In order to maintain social distance, we will be operating a maximum capacity and a queuing system with one in one out when this has been reached. We will also ask that members try to keep their session to no more that 90 minutes so that all our members and visitors have the same opportunity to use our facilities.

Social Distancing

We have rearranged all the equipment so that there is at least a 1.5 metre distance between individuals using the equipment. Please note the distance is between the position of individuals using the equipment and not necessarily between the frames of the equipment; as some equipment frames are wide.

Please pay attention to notice boards around the gym for updates about the coronavirus and our commitment to you.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after every workout
